PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION!!!
These amazing boots are PRETTY MUCH brand new and will ship in the original box. They have been used for a ½ day – that’s it! So essentially, yes, they are as good a brand new and in the box – technically they have been put on, worn around the house and ridden for a ½ day. The story there is that I got these for an amazing deal ($350) on an online store just before Christmas - they normally retail for $500. Unfortunately for me, unexpected expenses came up and I do have old boots, so I need to sell these and try again for a new pair next year. I would have returned to the store had I not ridden them for a ½ day.
Let me say though – I have been snowboarding for 20 years and have never seen such well engineered and beautifully crafted boots. It pains me to get rid of them. They fit like a glove and feel amazing. I am an 11 shoe and found these to fit true to size, a little snug but the shop told me they will ‘pack out’ after a few times on the hill and that I’d be happier with an 11 than an 11.5. Again, this pair is a size 11 – I have looked far and wide and can almost guarantee that this will be the most screaming deal you can get on these amazing boots…my loss, your gain I guess.
They are a ‘Platinum Pick’ in the SNOWBOARD magazine gear guide on boots. The November 2009 issue states that the SLX should be “considered like a Ferrari – sleek, sexy and precise’.
